Isaiah and Jeremiah

“In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted; and the train of. his robe filled the temple.”  Isaiah 6:1

“And he said, “Go, and say to this people: Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.'”  Isaiah 6:9

“For behold, the Lord God of hosts is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah support and supply, all support of bread, all all support of water…”  Isaiah 3:1

“For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it.  Woe to them!  For they have brought evil on themselves.”  Isaiah 3:9

“Thus says the Lord: ‘Stand by the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.'”  Jeremiah 6:16

“…no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”  Isaiah 54:17

“Behold, the siege mounds have come up to the city to take it, and because of sword and famine and pestilence the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you spoke has come to pass, and behold, you see it. Yet you, O Lord God, have said to me, “Buy the field for money and get witnesses”—though the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans.” Jeremiah 32:24-25

“Now the word of the Lord cane to me, saying…”  Jeremiah 1:4

“But you, dress yourself for work; arise, and say to them everything that I command you.  Do not be dismayed by them, lest I dismay you before them.  And I, behold, I make you this day a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the people of the land.”   Jeremiah 1:17-18 

 “Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they make offerings, but they cannot save them in the time of their trouble.  For your gods have become as many as your cities, O Judah, and as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to shame, altars to make offerings to Baal.”  Jeremiah 11:12-13 

“Little children, keep yourselves from idols.”  1 John 5:21

“Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: If you will surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then your life shall be spared, and this city shall not be burned with fire, and you and your house shall live.'”  Jeremiah 38:17

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.  Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”  Isaiah 7:14

“But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali.  But in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.”  Isaiah 9:1-2

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be on his shoulder…”   Isaiah 9:6
